Judges 7:18-20

When I and all who are with me blow our trumpets, then from all around the camp blow yours and shout, For the Lord and for Gideon.

19Gideon and the hundred men with him reached the edge of the camp at the beginning of the middle watch, just after they had changed the guard. They blew their trumpets and broke the jars that were in their hands.20The three companies blew the trumpets and smashed the jars. Grasping the torches in their left hands and holding in their right hands the trumpets they were to blow, they shouted, A sword for the Lord and for Gideom!

Through the life of Gideon, we discover that God can use the ordinary to do the extraordinary. For sure, that explains why Gideon is included in the Hall of Faith in Hebrews 11.

Biblical History Reminds Us That One Person Plus God Equals a Majority:

Judges 6:36-40

Gideon said to God, If you will save Israel by my hand as you have promised37look, I will place a wool fleece on the threshing floor. If there is dew only on the fleece and bonus casino all the ground is dry, then I will know that you will save Israel by my hand, as you said. 38And that is what happened. Gideon rose early the next day; he squeezed the fleece and wrung out the dewÑa bowlful of water.

39Then Gideon said to God, Do not be angry with me. Let me make just one more request. Allow me one more test with the fleece. This time make the fleece dry and the ground covered with dew. 40That night God did so. Only the fleece was dry; all the ground was covered with dew.

God Sees Positive Potential in Every Person:                                                   Joshua 7:10-15

The Lord said to Joshua, Stand up! What are you doing down on your face? 11Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep. They have taken some of the devoted things; they have stolen, they have lied, they have put them with their own possessions. 12That is why the Israelites cannot stand against their enemies; they turn their backs and run because they have been made liable to destruction. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy whatever among you is devoted to destruction.

13Go, consecrate the people. Tell them, Consecrate yourselves in preparation for tomorrow; for this is what the Lord, the God of Israel, says: That which is devoted is among you, O Israel. You cannot stand against your enemies until you remove it.

14 In the morning, present yourselves tribe by tribe. The tribe that the Lord takes shall come forward clan by clan; the clan that the Lord takes shall come forward family by family; and the family that the Lord takes shall come forward man by man. 15He who is caught with the devoted things shall be destroyed by fire, along with all that belongs to him. He has violated the covenant of the Lord and has done a disgraceful thing in Israel!
