Revival Is Coming

2 Chronicles 7:11-15

Revival is not a protracted meeting with a guest speaker, or a series of services. It is a visitation and divine manifestation of God

What Brings About Revival?                                                                                                 vv. 11-13

When Solomon had finished the temple of the Lord and the royal palace, and had succeeded in carrying out all he had in mind to do in the temple of the Lord and in his own palace, 12the Lord appeared to him at night and said:

I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for myself as a temple for sacrifices.

13 When I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or command locusts to devour the land or send a plague among my people,

1.         Preparation .                                                                   2 Chronicles 19:1-3

2.         Brokenness .                                                                        Psalm 69:30-33

3.         Urgency .                                                                         Jeremiah 29:11-13

4.         Holiness .                                                                                  Isaiah 55:6-7

Seek the Lord while he may be found; call on him while he is near. 7Let the wicked forsake his way and the evil man his thoughts. Let him turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on him, and to our God, for he will freely pardon.

5.         Willingness .                                                                                 Psalm 27:8

My heart says of you, Seek his face! Your face, Lord, I will seek.

6.         Persistence .                                                                        Philippians 3:10

I want to know Christ and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of sharing in his sufferings, becoming like him in his death,

7.         Repentance .                                                                                 Acts 3:19

Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,

AWe ought to see the face of God every morning before we see the face of man.

When Will Revival Come?                                                                                                      vv. 14-15

if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land. 15Now my eyes will be open and my ears attentive to the prayers offered in this place.

1.         When there is steadfastness in our trusting .                          Proverbs 3:5-6

Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

2.         When there is winsomeness in our evangelizing .              Matthew 28:18-20

Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.

3.         When there is generosity in our giving .                                     Malachi 3:10

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this, says the Lord Almighty, and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it.

4.         When there is power in our living .                                                    Acts 1:8

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

We praise Thee, O God, for the Son of Thy loveB

For Jesus, who died and is now gone above.

Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Hallelujah! Amen!

Hallelujah! Thine the glory! Revive us again.
