Psalm 103:1-2

“Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits—.”

Someone has said that “gratitude is the memory of the heart.” For sure, gratitude is an attitude. A good attitude is a basic ingredient for a happy life.

GRATITUDE TOWARD GOD MUST BE CULTIVATED:

1. God forgives. Psalm103:3

“who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases,”

2. God heals. Psalm103:3

3. God redeems. Psalm103:4

“who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,”

4. God elevates. Psalm103:4

5. God satisfies. Psalm103:5

“who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle”s.”

“Be joyful always; pray continually; give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God”s will for you in Christ Jesus” -1 Thessalonians. 5:16-18.

GRATITUDE TOWARD GOD AS THE ULTIMATE GIVER OF LIFE BRINGS GREAT JOY: Ephesians 5:15-20

“Be very careful, then, how you live–not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord”s will is. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

1. Gratitude doesn”t analyze everything to see if it’s a blessing.

2. Gratitude frees us to receive gratefully whatever God gives us.

3. When gratitude focuses on the giver, then we can know how much the gift cost.

“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name” -Psalm 100:4.
