A Perspective on Worship:                                                                                               Psalm 145:3

Great is the LORD and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom.

1.         Worship is enhanced through authentic community.              John 17:20-24

My prayer is not for them alone. I pray also for those who will believe in me through their message, 21that all of them may be one, Father, just as you are in me and I am in you. May they also be in us so that the world may believe that you have sent me. 22I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one: 23I in them and you in me. May they be brought to complete unity to let the world know that you sent me and have loved them even as you have loved me.

24 Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

2.         Worship occurs when we hunger for God.    Revelation 4:11

You are worthy, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they were created and have their being.

3.         Worship is more than a service .                                                Acts 7:55-56

But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. 56Look, he said, I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.

Men may admire the architectural splendors of a building, but Christ is concerned with living stones.

1.         The goodness of God.                                                         Jeremiah 33:11

2.         The greatness of God.                                                                Psalm 48:1

3.         The grace of God.                                                             1 Corinthians 1:4

5.         The gift of God.                                                               2 Corinthians 9:13
